Place food and water dish as far away from the little box as you can. Preferably opposite site of the room as cats and kittens do not like to eat near the litter box. The feeders do come in different sizes; this is helpful so that the new cat or kitten is not getting too much to eat. Over feeding, a pet is not healthy on the pet or on you. This is something that can be monitored and adjusted as the pet grows.
